A & J Granite Solutions Ltd were recently commissioned to supply and install a full suite of Cotswold White quartz worktops at a stunning residential property in Toton, Nottingham.

The property was in the final stages of a high-end renovation, with a brand new large format kitchen space taking shape around a striking suite of deep charcoal and black in-frame cabinetry.

The homeowners wanted a worktop surface that would deliver maximum visual impact against the dark units whilst remaining practical and durable for everyday family use.

Cotswold White quartz was the perfect choice.

The Stone, Cotswold White Quartz

Cotswold White is a beautifully crafted engineered quartz surface that captures the drama and elegance of natural marble in a format that is far more forgiving in a busy kitchen environment.

The surface features a bright white base with bold, sweeping veins of soft grey and charcoal that move freely and expressively across the slab, creating a surface with genuine energy and visual depth.

The polished finish brings the veining to life, giving the completed worktops a luxurious, high-end appearance that catches the light beautifully throughout the day.

As an engineered quartz, Cotswold White combines that marble-inspired aesthetic with the practical benefits that natural marble cannot match.

The Installation

The scope of the installation at this property was substantial, covering the full run of worktops across the kitchen perimeter, a large freestanding island and a striking full-height splashback panel set into a dedicated alcove behind the hob position.

The Island

The island is undoubtedly the centrepiece of this kitchen. Large in scale and generously proportioned, it features the Cotswold White quartz across the full worktop surface, with an undermount sink and a brushed nickel tap set neatly into the stone.

The island sits on a dark channelled timber base, and the contrast between the dark vertical lines of the base and the bright, veined quartz surface above is exceptionally striking.

The edge profile is a clean, squared finish that suits the contemporary character of the kitchen perfectly. As one of our four-legged visitors in Image 3 was clearly keen to confirm, the surface is every bit as impressive up close as it looks from a distance.

Perimeter Worktops & Upstands

The Cotswold White quartz runs the full length of the perimeter worktops on both sides of the kitchen, sitting beneath tall in-frame cabinetry in a deep charcoal black finish with brushed nickel knob handles.

The worktops are accompanied by matching upstands along the rear edge, so that the stone continues neatly up the wall behind the worktop surface, making sure a clean and cohesive finish throughout.

The Hob Splashback

One of the most visually impressive features of this installation is the full-height Cotswold White splashback panel set into a recessed alcove behind the hob.

Running from worktop height up to the underside of the wall units above, the panel makes the most of the bold veining within the stone, creating a focal point in the kitchen that draws the eye from every angle.

Carrying the same material from the worktop surface straight up the wall in this way gives the kitchen a seamless, thoroughly considered finish that elevates the whole space.

The Finished Kitchen

The overall effect of the Cotswold White quartz against the dark cabinetry in this Toton kitchen is dramatic and deeply impressive.

The crisp white and grey of the stone sits in bold, beautiful contrast against the near-black units, creating a kitchen that feels simultaneously classic and contemporary.

Large sliding doors to the garden flood the space with natural light, which plays off the polished quartz surface beautifully throughout the day. This is a kitchen that will turn heads for many years to come.
