A & J Granite Solutions Ltd were recently commissioned to supply and install Nevada quartz worktops at a residential property in Hathern, Leicestershire.

The kitchen was in the process of being fully refitted at the time of installation, with the worktops being one of the first elements to be completed.

As the images show, the Nevada quartz has been fitted across both the perimeter run of the kitchen and around what is a truly unique structural feature of this property, a magnificent original exposed timber column that rises through the kitchen from floor to ceiling, around which the worktop has been carefully templated and cut to sit flush.

It is one of the most characterful kitchens we have installed worktops in, and the clean white of the Nevada quartz complements the rustic, aged character of the space beautifully.

The Stone:  Nevada Quartz

Nevada is a white engineered quartz surface with a bright, clean base and subtle warm golden and amber veining that runs through the surface in fine, natural-looking lines.

The overall effect is a surface that is crisp and fresh whilst avoiding the stark, cold appearance that some plain white surfaces can have. The warmth introduced by the delicate veining gives the stone a sense of depth and movement, making it feel genuinely luxurious rather than simply white.

As visible in the images, the polished finish of the Nevada quartz catches the light well within the kitchen environment, giving the worktops a reflective quality that helps to lift and brighten the space around them.

This is particularly effective in a kitchen like this one, where the original exposed beams, dark timber and aged character of the building could otherwise make the space feel heavy.
